Book Buyers, Beware!
Updated: Jan 30, 2020
I'm a member of Romance Writers of America, a trade association that advocates on behalf of romance authors and empowers romance authors. This morning, I received an email informing me of yet another pirate site that steals the intellectual property of authors and illegally sells books online.
I googled Kiss Library and checked out kisslibrary.net (According to one commenter, this business was formerly listed as kisslibrary.com.). Much to my surprise, I found my entire historical romance series- all FIVE books -listed for sale at twice their Amazon price. I did not authorize this site to sell my books. I'm a self-published author who sells her books exclusively on Amazon.com. Kiss Library has been selling my books without my permission and has not paid me anything in royalties.
My books are available for free to members of Amazon's Kindle Unlimited program. If you want to purchase one of my e-books, I offer all of them on Amazon at $2.99 per book.
For now, it appears Kiss Library has taken my books down. This website is on my radar now, so I'll be checking every month to make sure they abide by my DMCA notice.
Please be aware that there are pirate sites like Kiss Library online that are cheating authors out of their book royalties. If they will steal from writers, I wouldn't trust these dishonest businesses with my personal information and credit card information. Book buyers, please beware!
