There was nothing I didn’t like about this story, except the heroine’s name-Joa Jolivet. This book won’t suit everyone, but it was a perfect read for me. You wouldn’t know this from the book cover or blurb, but this story takes place during the Christmas & New Year’s season. I guess that qualifies it as a holiday romance.
The hero and heroine “dated” in the past, so there was already a familiarity between them. Having this established history helped move the plot along more quickly. The story focused a lot on Reed and Joa’s emotions and the precarious status of their relationship.
There is a subplot involving an SEC investigation. It’s an important element of the story, but it doesn’t distract from the romance.
